Printed and framed to order, ready to hang when it arrives. Printed on premium luster paper with rich color and fine detail, protected behind a clear acrylic front, and set in a solid wood frame: White (gallery white), Black (matte black) or Red Oak (warm wood).
Printed to order on thick matte paper, shipped rolled for your own frame. We use 189 gsm (10.3 mil) matte paper with a smooth, glare-free finish and archival inks. It ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, may hold a slight curl, and flattens overnight under a book. It fits any standard frame of that size. Prefer it framed? Choose Framed above for a solid wood frame in White, Black or Red Oak.
Available in 8″×10″ and 16″×20″.
Hanging hardware is included. These measurements refer to the print size. The wood frame adds about 0.75″ on each side, so the framed piece is roughly 1.5″ wider and taller than the print.
For unframed prints, the selected size is the paper size and fits a standard frame of that size. A frame adds about 1 inch on each side.
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
African women are very beautiful in my eyes, and while living in Kenya I met many of them. The alstroemeria highlights their colorfulness and their beauty.

The Botanicals Behind the Artwork
Shirley arranged each leaf, pod, stem, and natural fiber by hand before photographing the finished composition.

friendship and devotion
Lavender keeps its scent for years after drying, which is why it has filled linen drawers for centuries.
calm and clean beginnings
A rose's scent is strongest just after sunrise, held mostly in the petals' upper surface.
love, plainly said
Lavender's silvery leaves are covered in fine hairs that hold its fragrant oils.
soft gaze
Each Pterogyne seed grows one papery wing that spins it slowly to the ground.
letting go gracefully
A petal is a leaf that evolved to be seen: its whole job is to catch an eye.
