Printed and framed to order, ready to hang when it arrives. Printed on premium luster paper with rich color and fine detail, protected behind a clear acrylic front, and set in a solid wood frame: White (gallery white), Black (matte black) or Red Oak (warm wood).
Printed to order on thick matte paper, shipped rolled for your own frame. We use 189 gsm (10.3 mil) matte paper with a smooth, glare-free finish and archival inks. It ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, may hold a slight curl, and flattens overnight under a book. It fits any standard frame of that size. Prefer it framed? Choose Framed above for a solid wood frame in White, Black or Red Oak.
Available in 8″×10″ and 16″×20″.
Hanging hardware is included. These measurements refer to the print size. The wood frame adds about 0.75″ on each side, so the framed piece is roughly 1.5″ wider and taller than the print.
For unframed prints, the selected size is the paper size and fits a standard frame of that size. A frame adds about 1 inch on each side.
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
Carrot, bok choy, and lemon. Just three simple ingredients came together to create this naive little artwork. This is how I see the world: I look at every natural object, whether at home or outdoors, and imagine what it could become.
Sometimes the simplest materials lead to the simplest and most joyful creations. That is the spirit of this piece, and it is exactly what I hope it adds to a kitchen or a hallway, a small daily reminder that play can start with whatever is on the counter.

The Botanicals Behind the Artwork
Shirley arranged each leaf, pod, stem, and natural fiber by hand before photographing the finished composition.
Carrots were purple and yellow for centuries before Dutch growers bred the cheerful orange ones we know today.
nourishment and homely comfort
Bok choy is a cousin of cabbage and mustard, a family famous for its peppery, get-up-and-go zing.
abundance and good fortune
A single lemon tree is generous enough to carry blossoms, green fruit, and ripe lemons all at the same time.
zest, freshness, and clarity
Broom shrubs fling their seeds when ripe pods snap open with an audible pop on a hot afternoon.
humility and tidiness
When a legume pod dries out, it twists and splits to catapult its seeds well away from the parent plant.
release and new journeys
Every mighty oak begins as an acorn, yet only about one in ten thousand ever grows into a full tree.
potential and patience
A bare twig already holds next year's leaves, folded and waiting inside tiny sealed buds.
steady growth and promise
