Materials & framing
Printed and framed to order, ready to hang when it arrives. Printed on premium luster paper with rich color and fine detail, protected behind a clear acrylic front, and set in a solid wood frame: White (gallery white), Black (matte black) or Red Oak (warm wood).
Printed to order on thick matte paper, shipped rolled for your own frame. We use 189 gsm (10.3 mil) matte paper with a smooth, glare-free finish and archival inks. It ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, may hold a slight curl, and flattens overnight under a book. It fits any standard frame of that size. Prefer it framed? Choose Framed above for a solid wood frame in White, Black or Red Oak.
Size & fit
Available in 10″×10″ and 16″×16″.
Hanging hardware is included. These measurements refer to the print size. The wood frame adds about 0.75″ on each side, so the framed piece is roughly 1.5″ wider and taller than the print.
For unframed prints, the selected size is the paper size and fits a standard frame of that size. A frame adds about 1 inch on each side.
The Story Behind the Artwork
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
In my grandparents' garden there was an old wheelbarrow. That garden was a wonderful place, full of life and full of memories, and I can still see it clearly.
This creation was inspired by a childhood memory, a small moment from the past that stayed with me and found its way into my art through leaves, petals, and stems. I like to think it can do the same in your home, holding a small, warm memory of a garden where someone you loved once worked and things were always growing.

Bauhinia flowers (the clothing)
Sweet pea flowers hold their scent so well that gardeners bred them for perfume before looks.
Sweet peas mean blissful pleasure and a fond goodbye.
Autumn leaves (the braided hair)
Leaves turn red in fall by making fresh pigment, unlike yellow which was hiding there all along.
Turning leaves symbolize change embraced and the beauty of letting go.
Lemon slice (the wheel)
One lemon holds more vitamin C than a grown person needs in a whole day.
Lemon stands for zest, freshness and clearing the air.
Oleaster leaf (Elaeagnus) (the wheelbarrow body)
Oleaster leaves are covered in tiny silver scales, which give the whole shrub a soft, shimmering grey-green glow.
Oleaster symbolizes resilience, shelter and a calm, silvery light.
Small purple flowers and seed heads (the garden ground)
Many small wildflowers open only in daylight and fold shut again at dusk to guard their pollen.
A scattering of little blooms means simple joys and everyday abundance.

Fresh green shoots push up so fast in spring they can lift small stones out of their way.
