Printed and framed to order, ready to hang when it arrives. Printed on premium luster paper with rich color and fine detail, protected behind a clear acrylic front, and set in a solid wood frame: White (gallery white), Black (matte black) or Red Oak (warm wood).
Printed to order on thick matte paper, shipped rolled for your own frame. We use 189 gsm (10.3 mil) matte paper with a smooth, glare-free finish and archival inks. It ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, may hold a slight curl, and flattens overnight under a book. It fits any standard frame of that size. Prefer it framed? Choose Framed above for a solid wood frame in White, Black or Red Oak.
Available in 8″×10″ and 16″×20″.
Hanging hardware is included. These measurements refer to the print size. The wood frame adds about 0.75″ on each side, so the framed piece is roughly 1.5″ wider and taller than the print.
For unframed prints, the selected size is the paper size and fits a standard frame of that size. A frame adds about 1 inch on each side.
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
I dedicated this piece to a special man, the one who married my son and daughter-in-law.

The Botanicals Behind the Artwork
Shirley arranged each leaf, pod, stem, and natural fiber by hand before photographing the finished composition.
Cypress trees can live for centuries, their soft green sprays staying fragrant year round.
wisdom that shelters
The bauhinia leaf folds along its center line like a book closing, a natural beret shape.
a thinking cap that grows
Cotton fibers are the hairs of a seed, each boll holding half a million of them.
soft authority
A Syrian hibiscus bloom opens for a single day, and the shrub answers with another tomorrow.
thoughtfulness
Seeds can wait decades in the ground for their season; patience is their whole design.
