Dried seed pods (the tree canopy)
Papery seed pods rattle when dry, a built-in signal that the seeds inside are ripe and ready to scatter.
Seed pods stand for potential and the quiet promise of renewal.

Printed and framed to order, ready to hang when it arrives. Printed on premium luster paper with rich color and fine detail, protected behind a clear acrylic front, and set in a solid wood frame: White (gallery white), Black (matte black) or Red Oak (warm wood).
Printed to order on thick matte paper, shipped rolled for your own frame. We use 189 gsm (10.3 mil) matte paper with a smooth, glare-free finish and archival inks. It ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, may hold a slight curl, and flattens overnight under a book. It fits any standard frame of that size. Prefer it framed? Choose Framed above for a solid wood frame in White, Black or Red Oak.
Available in 10″×10″ and 16″×16″.
Hanging hardware is included. These measurements refer to the print size. The wood frame adds about 0.75″ on each side, so the framed piece is roughly 1.5″ wider and taller than the print.
For unframed prints, the selected size is the paper size and fits a standard frame of that size. A frame adds about 1 inch on each side.
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
To sit in the shade of the trees, to rest, and to listen to the gentle silence of nature along with the songs of the birds. These are the simple moments that bring me peace and inspiration, and this piece was born from them.
I composed it by hand from real leaves and stems, trying to hold that shade and quiet in one small scene. It was made to offer a home the same gift: a place on the wall where the eye can sit down and rest.

The Botanicals Behind the Artwork
Shirley arranged each leaf, pod, stem, and natural fiber by hand before photographing the finished composition.

Seed pods stand for potential and the quiet promise of renewal.
Driftwood can drift the ocean for years, tumbled smooth and silver before it finally lands ashore.
Weathered wood symbolizes resilience, survival and time gracefully carried.
Bright red berries are basically billboards telling birds dinner is served, so the seeds get a free flight.
Red berries symbolize protection, vitality and life carried through winter.
Clementine peel is dotted with tiny oil pockets, filled mostly with limonene, the scent that makes citrus smell so bright.
A small golden fruit stands for good fortune and warmth.
Fallen leaves don't just rot, they feed the very tree they dropped from by enriching the soil below.
Autumn leaves mean rest, release and the beauty of slowing down.
A leaf's edge shape, smooth or toothed, is one of the fastest ways botanists tell species apart.
Little leaves symbolize growth, grounding and the small steps of life.
Fine dried plant fibers were humanity's first thread, twisted into cord long before any loom existed.
Soft golden strands suggest gentleness and natural, unfussed beauty.
