Cats have always been part of my life, so it is no surprise that they often find their way into my work. When I came across the remarkable flowering stalks of the Bismarck Palm, they immediately reminded me of a cat's tail, relaxed, gently swaying, or flicking with quiet expression.
Because those flower branches fit together so beautifully, they became not only the tail but the cat's entire body. Sometimes a single botanical discovery already holds the character within it. You simply have to recognize it. This one now waits to curl up on a wall and make any room feel a little more alive.
