Broccoli flowers (winter forest)
Broccoli is a cultivar of Brassica oleracea, and the part we eat is a cluster of unopened flower buds.
A tiny forest of green brings freshness, cheer, and life to the snowy scene.

Printed and framed to order, ready to hang when it arrives. Printed on premium luster paper with rich color and fine detail, protected behind a clear acrylic front, and set in a solid wood frame: White (gallery white), Black (matte black) or Red Oak (warm wood).
Printed to order on thick matte paper, shipped rolled for your own frame. We use 189 gsm (10.3 mil) matte paper with a smooth, glare-free finish and archival inks. It ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, may hold a slight curl, and flattens overnight under a book. It fits any standard frame of that size. Prefer it framed? Choose Framed above for a solid wood frame in White, Black or Red Oak.
Available in 10″×8″ and 20″×16″.
Hanging hardware is included. These measurements refer to the print size. The wood frame adds about 0.75″ on each side, so the framed piece is roughly 1.5″ wider and taller than the print.
For unframed prints, the selected size is the paper size and fits a standard frame of that size. A frame adds about 1 inch on each side.
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
I have many friends abroad who celebrate Christmas, and I love making them a holiday greeting each year in the colors of the season.

The Botanicals Behind the Artwork
Shirley arranged each leaf, pod, stem, and natural fiber by hand before photographing the finished composition.
Broccoli is a cultivar of Brassica oleracea, and the part we eat is a cluster of unopened flower buds.
A tiny forest of green brings freshness, cheer, and life to the snowy scene.
Cotton fiber grows around the seeds of the cotton plant inside protective bolls.
Soft white cotton suggests quiet, warmth, and the gentle magic of winter.
Phalaenopsis orchids are epiphytes in nature, often growing on trees rather than in soil.
The pale orchid pieces give the figure graceful motion and a playful holiday spirit.
Geraniums are loved for their rounded flower clusters and long blooming season.
Bright red geranium adds festive joy and friendly celebration.
The colorful part of an anthurium is a spathe, a modified leaf that surrounds the flower spike.
Anthurium red brings heart, welcome, and the warmth of a holiday greeting.
