Printed on premium luster paper with rich color and fine detail, protected behind a clear acrylic front, and set in a wood frame. Choose White, Black, or Red Oak.

These measurements refer to the print size. The wood frame adds about 0.75″ on each side, so the framed piece is roughly 1.5″ wider and taller than the print.

The Story Behind the Artwork
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
There is a Hebrew expression, a cabbage head. This time a single leaf claimed the place of the hat instead. I took that leaf from a cabbage I had bought for a meal. A moment before it became chopped cabbage, it reminded me how I have always been charmed by women who wear hats.
There is something about them that tells a story, adds presence, creates a character. So the cabbage leaf became part of a hat, and what had been part of an everyday vegetable received new life in a portrait. Sometimes all it takes is a different way of looking. I love imagining her doing the same in someone's home, quietly adding character to the room.

Red cabbage leaf (the hat brim)
The blotchy patterns on an aging leaf are pigments and fungi painting a slow watercolor as it breaks down.

Cherry plum blossoms
