Wild carrot (Queen Anne's lace)
Queen Anne's lace is the wild ancestor of the garden carrot, and its flower head folds into a little bird's nest as seeds ripen.
This lacy bloom stands for sanctuary and delicate refuge.
Wood sorrel leaves (Oxalis)
Clover leaves fold up at night in a little sleep move that botanists call nyctinasty.
Clover means luck, and its three leaves have long stood for faith, hope, and love.
