The Story Behind the Artwork
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
The chameleon is a fascinating creature, with its own quiet ways of adapting to the world around it. One lived in our garden, and I came across it several times. I have a deep love for frangipani flowers, and my daily gathering of those blossoms felt like the perfect match for creating this chameleon.
It also brought back memories from our years in Africa, where some communities believed the chameleon could cast a spell. For me it represents wonder, adaptation, and the beauty of the natural world, and that is the spirit I hope it brings to the room it lives in.
