Materials & framing
Printed and framed to order, ready to hang when it arrives. Printed on premium luster paper with rich color and fine detail, protected behind a clear acrylic front, and set in a solid wood frame: White (gallery white), Black (matte black) or Red Oak (warm wood).
Printed to order on thick matte paper, shipped rolled for your own frame. We use 189 gsm (10.3 mil) matte paper with a smooth, glare-free finish and archival inks. It ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, may hold a slight curl, and flattens overnight under a book. It fits any standard frame of that size. Prefer it framed? Choose Framed above for a solid wood frame in White, Black or Red Oak.
Size & fit
Available in 8″×10″ and 16″×20″.
Hanging hardware is included. These measurements refer to the print size. The wood frame adds about 0.75″ on each side, so the framed piece is roughly 1.5″ wider and taller than the print.
For unframed prints, the selected size is the paper size and fits a standard frame of that size. A frame adds about 1 inch on each side.
From earth to art
The original composition was made entirely from real botanicals.
The Botanicals Behind the Artwork
6 real botanicals composed the original artwork
Shirley arranged each leaf, pod, stem, and natural fiber by hand before photographing the finished composition.
Young unripe bananas (the right side lock)
Banana plants are giant herbs, not trees, with leaf sheaths forming a false trunk.
They suggest protection, softness, and generous growth.
Zinnias in varied shades (the crown blossoms)
Zinnias are annual flowers that attract butterflies and other pollinators.
They add joyful confidence and bright friendship to the crown.
Plumeria (the fragrant crown accents)
Plumeria flowers often have a waxy texture and a sweet scent strongest in warm air.
They carry a calm tropical grace and a sense of welcome.
Large allamanda flower (the bold centerpiece)
Allamanda is a tropical vine or shrub known for large trumpet shaped blooms.
It gives the face a note of radiance, courage, and open-hearted beauty.
Lantana flowers (the floral collar)
Lantana flower clusters are made of many tiny florets that can change color as they age.
They gather many small joys into one lively, festive necklace.
