The Story Behind the Artwork
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
The variety of natural materials I had gathered seemed to be waiting for an earthy creation. As I arranged them, the image of a deer emerged before my eyes. To me the deer is a symbol of groundedness, quiet strength, and a deep connection to the earth.
I followed that image until she stood complete, made entirely of nature's own textures and colors. She was created to bring that grounded quietness into a living space, a still point on the wall in a busy home.
