Printed and framed to order, ready to hang when it arrives. Printed on premium luster paper with rich color and fine detail, protected behind a clear acrylic front, and set in a solid wood frame: White (gallery white), Black (matte black) or Red Oak (warm wood).
Printed to order on thick matte paper, shipped rolled for your own frame. We use 189 gsm (10.3 mil) matte paper with a smooth, glare-free finish and archival inks. It ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, may hold a slight curl, and flattens overnight under a book. It fits any standard frame of that size. Prefer it framed? Choose Framed above for a solid wood frame in White, Black or Red Oak.
Available in 10″×8″ and 20″×16″.
Hanging hardware is included. These measurements refer to the print size. The wood frame adds about 0.75″ on each side, so the framed piece is roughly 1.5″ wider and taller than the print.
For unframed prints, the selected size is the paper size and fits a standard frame of that size. A frame adds about 1 inch on each side.
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
It was International Rhino Day, and I had just come back from gathering in a banana grove. I found myself thinking about a green rhino (:

The Botanicals Behind the Artwork
Shirley arranged each leaf, pod, stem, and natural fiber by hand before photographing the finished composition.
Bananas grow in hanging clusters on large herbaceous Musa plants.
A gentle giant shaped from green fruit brings strength with softness.
Banana fruits start green and soften as their starches turn into sugars.
Small wings add freedom and lightness to the grove.
Many edible bananas are seedless because they develop without fertilization.
A tiny companion resting on the rhino suggests trust and calm.
Zinnias are composite flowers, with many tiny florets forming one bright head.
The yellow sun brings warmth, optimism, and a playful spark.
Banana leaves are broad and tear naturally along their veins in wind.
The dry leaf earth grounds the scene in the quiet rhythm of the grove.
Petals are modified leaves that often help flowers attract pollinators.
The little sprouts feel like hope rising at the rhino’s feet.
