Printed and framed to order, ready to hang when it arrives. Printed on premium luster paper with rich color and fine detail, protected behind a clear acrylic front, and set in a solid wood frame: White (gallery white), Black (matte black) or Red Oak (warm wood).
Printed to order on thick matte paper, shipped rolled for your own frame. We use 189 gsm (10.3 mil) matte paper with a smooth, glare-free finish and archival inks. It ships rolled in a sturdy cardboard tube, may hold a slight curl, and flattens overnight under a book. It fits any standard frame of that size. Prefer it framed? Choose Framed above for a solid wood frame in White, Black or Red Oak.
Available in 8″×10″ and 16″×20″.
Hanging hardware is included. These measurements refer to the print size. The wood frame adds about 0.75″ on each side, so the framed piece is roughly 1.5″ wider and taller than the print.
For unframed prints, the selected size is the paper size and fits a standard frame of that size. A frame adds about 1 inch on each side.
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
Cats have always been part of my life, so it is no surprise that they often find their way into my work. When I came across the remarkable flowering stalks of the Bismarck Palm, they immediately reminded me of a cat's tail, relaxed, gently swaying, or flicking with quiet expression.
Because those flower branches fit together so beautifully, they became not only the tail but the cat's entire body. Sometimes a single botanical discovery already holds the character within it. You simply have to recognize it. This one now waits to curl up on a wall and make any room feel a little more alive.

The Botanicals Behind the Artwork
Shirley arranged each leaf, pod, stem, and natural fiber by hand before photographing the finished composition.

attachment and connection
Sun-bleached and water-worn, driftwood quietly carries the story of every current that once carried it.
journeys and quiet strength
Frangipani blooms turn fragrant at night to lure moths, yet they cheekily offer no nectar as a reward.
new beginnings, charm, and grace
Artemisia leaves carry a silvery sheen and a savory scent that keeps most hungry insects at a distance.
dignity and protection
Maple seeds spin down like tiny helicopters, a design so effective that engineers still study their fall.
flight and hope carried far
