The Story Behind the Artwork
“Every leaf, twig, petal, and seed becomes a brushstroke.”
I have always loved corn. I love eating it, and I love creating with its different parts. Even the corn silk has its own therapeutic qualities. This portrait was created while I was thinking about herbal practitioners and naturopaths.
I imagined it as a piece that could bring a touch of color, nature, and a playful wink into their clinics. It is a reminder that healing is also connected to creativity, beauty, and the simple treasures of the natural world. Whether it hangs in a clinic or a kitchen, I hope she brings that gentle, healing cheer with her.
